Terms and Conditions (Sep 2022)

Zone01 develops robotic challenges and programs for young people, the results of which are presented at competitions (events). Zone01 supports teachers with training and workshops to help them integrate robotics in the classroom and to bring the activity to life for young people. In some cases, Zone01 also provides additional material such as game mats and the Zone01 cube.

Registration fees are billed in Canadian dollars and a proof of payment is sent by email upon electronic payment.

Use of game mats

The design and the graphic conception of the game mats available on this site are the property of Zone01 Robotics or of the World Robot Olympiad Association.

The buyer agrees to use the game mats for participants of a single physical location (school, college, robotics club, residence).

It is not allowed to organize an event or a competition for participants from several schools, colleges or robotics clubs with one or several of these game mats without having first obtained a license to this effect from Zone01 Robotics.

Cancellation and refund

In the event that Zone01 cancels a competition, the organizers will offer to refund the registration fees (less the value of the material that was included) or to keep the money for a subsequent event or for the following season.

Additional material purchased is non-refundable as it is made to order.

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-exchangeable in case of cancellation by the participants.

Fees are payable electronically by credit or debit card. Zone01 can grant payment terms to school Boards or schools upon request. The preferred method of payment is direct deposit.

Failure to pay the registration fees within the prescribed time frame may result in Zone01 cancelling the teams' participation in the event.

Delivery fees

The additional material includes delivery fees by ground in most Canadian cities, except for remote areas.

Consent to the publication of photos and videos

To participate in a Zone01 event, a consent form for the publication of photos and videos must be completed, signed and submitted to Zone01 for each participant and by the parents or legal guardians of participants under 18 years of age.

Videos submitted by participants

If videos are provided by teams during a competition round, the judges and organizers reserve the right to disqualify videos that do not respect the required parameters in terms of duration, format or content. No refunds will be given in the event of a team being disqualified.
